From October 7 to 10, 2025, the All-Russian conference with international participation, “XLI Siberian Thermophysical Seminar” (STS-41), dedicated to the 75th anniversary of RAS Academician Sergei Vladimirovich Alekseenko, was held in Novosibirsk.
The conference was held in the Akademgorodok Technopark (12 Nikolaeva St.) and was organized by the S. S. Kutateladze Institute of Thermophysics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The Siberian Thermophysical Seminar has been held in Akademgorodok since 1960 and has traditionally been a key scientific platform for discussing current issues in thermophysics, hydrodynamics, and energy.
The event was timed to coincide with the anniversary of Academician S.V. Alekseenko, Chairman of the RAS National Committee on Heat and Mass Transfer, Scientific Director of the Institute of Thermophysics SB RAS, Chairman of the SB RAS Joint Academic Council on Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics, and Control Processes, and Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Thermophysics and Aeromechanics.” Sergey Vladimirovich is a laureate of the Russian Federation Government Prize and the international Global Energy Prize for his work in the field of energy.
The conference featured presentations and discussions of modern scientific results in a wide range of areas, including thermophysical problems of energy, energy efficiency and energy conservation, climate change and low-carbon energy, vortex and turbulent flows, heat and mass transfer in multiphase media, phase transitions, combustion processes, rarefied gases and plasma, space energy, thermal physics of micro- and nanosystems, radiant heat transfer, and the application of machine learning methods in thermal physics and energy.
The 16th Siberian Thermophysical Seminar confirmed its high scientific level and became an important platform for exchanging experience and strengthening cooperation between Russian and foreign researchers.
