KEY SCIENTIST
Vladimir Mikhailovich Dulin

D.Sc. (Phys.-Math.)

Professor of the RAS

Head of the Laboratory in the Institute of Thermophysics
Bio
Vladimir Dulin earned a B.S. degree in Physics from Novosibirsk State University, Russia, in 2004, followed by a Ph.D. degree in Non-equilibrium thermodynamics at Kutateladze Institute of Thermophysics (Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk) in 2009. Since 2015, he serves as a head of laboratory in the Institute of Thermophysics. He was awarded by a D.Sc. degree (habilitation) in 2016 and has been appointed as Associate Professor at Novosibirsk State University in 2019. In 2022, he has received a Full Professor degree from the Russian Academy of Sciences. His scientific interests cover optical diagnostics of turbulent heat and mass transfer and combustion in jet flows, including sprays and swirling flames. The research focus is placed on the application of planar optical velocimetry and thermometry methods for the development of flow control strategies based on reduced-order modeling.
