We invite you to take part in the work of the XXXVI Siberian Thermophysical Seminar dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Academician Alekseenko Sergey Vladimirovich, a well-known specialist in the field of thermophysics, energy and energy saving. The seminar to be held October 5 - 7, 2020.
Alekseenko S.V. - a well-known specialist in the field of thermal physics, energy and energy saving. His scientific activity is inextricably linked with the history of the Institute of Thermophysics. Under the direct guidance of Academician Alekseenko, new fundamental results have been obtained in the study of heat and mass transfer processes and nonlinear stability of thin liquid films and annular gas-liquid flows, vortex and coherent structures, turbulent jets, heat transfer enhancement. Contributions were made to the development of experimental methods and instruments: the electrodiffusion method for diagnosing flows, the shadow method for measuring film thickness, the field optical method for measuring velocities, and an endoscope based on fiber optics. A number of applied problems related to the creation of an environmentally friendly thermal power plant, the use of microcoal and water-coal fuel, the development of a new type of burners and methods for thermal waste processing, the development of thermal-hydraulic codes for the safety of nuclear power plants, the development of fuel cells, the development of geothermal energy technologies have been solved. Alekseenko S.V. – Scientific Supervisor of IT SB RAS, Member of the Presidium of the SB RAS, Chairman of the Joint Scientific Council of the SB RAS for Energy, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics and Control Processes, Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Thermophysics and Aeromechanics” and member of the editorial boards of 12 scientific journals, head of a department at Novosibirsk State University, deputy chairman Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on Renewable Energy Sources, member of the National Committees on Mechanics and Heat and Mass Transfer, the American Physical Society, the International Committee on Heat Transfer, Euromech, the Council for Grants of the President of the Russian Federation.
